Alan and Lee met in early 2008 and created something which Lee calls “Little Feat meets Lyle Lovett.” It’s real talent and original music – not old New Orleans jazz, but “pretty straight ahead” he hopes. Soul and technique, theory and harmony, heart and value – these are Lee and Alan’s aims in making music. Bluesy and swingy and sometimes downright twangy, they bring their velvet vocals, crisp pairing, and more than sixty combined years of music-making to their fans. it becomes clear as you hear them play that they are two first-class musicians just letting loose and getting away from it all themselves. It’s utterly effortless and equal parts cool and rousing.
